Eurotank Service Group has enrolled six senior managers onto Nebosh health and safety courses in a change to the Group’s safety strategy.
Eurotank Environmental Operations Director Alex Lis and Eurotank Installations Contracts Manager Ashley Bithell are enrolled on the 11-day Nebosh Certificate Health & Safety Management for Construction course, while four other leaders within the Group will gain the Nebosh General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, which runs over nine days.
Group Managing Director Edward Wheeler commented: “Our new safety strategy is to move from a centralised group safety director to empowering and providing additional training to the management team across the group so that they become the safety representatives for their trading businesses. These Nebosh courses are an important part of that and will give our managers the skills and confidence to develop the safety culture in their respective divisions.”
The Nebosh courses are an excellent foundation in health and safety for managers and supervisors and will ensure the delegates come away with greater confidence in effectively managing health and safety, identifying and controlling hazards and understanding legal requirements, along with improved skills in developing and implementing detailed action plans and the ability to better support and develop Eurotank’s health and safety culture.
