Following the sale of Eurotank Service Group’s depot in Stoke-on-Trent and relocation of Head Office to our Sowerby Bridge premises, the business has taken on a new depot in Worcester.
The West Midlands location is near to a larger percentage of our workforce and very close to the M5 motorway, which provides a great transport link to most of the UK.
Also in the past year, the Group opened a warehouse in Lincoln, primarily for use by Eurotank Environmental. Along with existing depots in Southampton and East Kilbride, Eurotank is a truly nationwide-based contractor.
Edward Wheeler, Group Managing Director, said: “Our East Kilbride depot has huge amounts of storage so it made sense to relocate the main stores there. The process forced a huge clearout of some of the accumulated pump parts we had collected. We definitely didn’t need 250 Highline 2 nozzle boots, for example, or enough nozzles to equip all the petrol stations in Scotland!
“We have also vacated the Specialist Lining Services depot in Sudbury, Suffolk, which isn’t a great location for national coverage, and since we merged the SLS operations into Eurotank Environmental, the need for a dedicated depot significantly reduced.”
