Eurotank has installed its new budget-friendly Lifeliner Lite single-skin tank lining system at Anson Service Station in Havant for Highway Stops Retail.
The project was planned to be carried out during the independent retailer’s quieter trading period, and Eurotank carefully managed fuel deliveries to ensure the site suffered as little disruption as possible as it continued to trade throughout.
Tony Head, Business Development Director at Highway Stops, said: “The Anson tank reline was pre-planned and booked into the traditionally quiet period of January.
“The work was planned very efficiently which enabled the site to trade with main grades throughout.
“Eurotank has been partners with Highway stops for many years and as a company have continued to inspect our tanks across all sites, whether it be tank cleaning, relining or retightening on a rolling basis for peace of mind.”
All five tanks at Anson Service Station were cleaned, blasted and inspected, which revealed pitting on the floor. The tanks were then primed and lined with Lifeliner Lite, which was launched at the end of last year to provide a lower cost tank upgrade option.
The system is a step up from Eurotank’s Tank Re-tightening service, which involves patch repairs to small areas of pitting or corrosion inside the tank.
Single-skin Lifeliner Lite comprises three layers of fibreglass on the tank floor where it is most susceptible to leaks, and one layer over the rest of the tank. It comes with a 10-year warranty.
