Europump Maintenance has taken delivery of four 3.5t cherrypickers with a cut-out for the basket.
This new type of cherry picker design allows us to carry 500kg of tools and equipment in addition to the cherry picker, driver and fuel. The new-style vehicles will replace our existing 5t cherrypickers.
Each of the vehicles has been assigned a new driver with abroad geographical spread. One is based in Southampton, another in EastKilbride, the third in Stoke-on-Trent and the fourth will call Peterborough its home.
Cherry pickers have made stage 1b vapour recovery testing a whole lot safer and quicker since the secure cab safely transports our engineers to height, making scaffold towers completely obsolete.
Lee Taylor, Europump Service Director, said: “The new cherrypickers are a great addition to the fleet.
“Europump completes more than 1,500 vapour recovery inspections every year and it’s important to complete these to a high standard and as efficiently as possible, which the cherry pickers allow us to do.
“We also use them for tank testing and forecourt cleaning, as well as other services that require working at height.”
