Put AdBlue everywhere you can is the message from Amar Tanna, owner of Stretton Service Station in Rugby, which has supplied the additive on the pump for both car and HGV customers for three years.
“When retailers talk to me about repumps I rave about AdBlue and tell them to put it everywhere they can because for what it costs to install, the payback is fantastic,” he said.
“It’s such an easy thing to manage, too. We work with Greenchem and they monitor the tank remotely, come to fill it up when it’s low, and issue an automatic invoice; I don’t do anything at all while it just generates income.”
As part of a major redevelopment of Stretton Service Station in 2021, Eurotank installed a Smart 5000 tank and diesel/AdBlue dispenser on the HGV lane plus a separate AdBlue pump for car/van drivers.
Amar said sales growth of AdBlue from the HGV pump was instant, with the large tank on the outside HGV lane highly visible from the roadside, while retail sales have picked up streadily and consistently each year.
